Don't Miss the Historical Fun at MUSEUM COMES TO LIFE

The Friends of the Historical Museum will present their annual Museum Comes to Life, Saturday, September 16, 2009, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Idaho State Historical Museum and surrounding Julia Davis Park.

Museum Comes to Life will feature over 50 demonstrations and exhibits of historical skills and crafts.

Museum Comes to Life is the only time during the year the houses in Pioneer Village are open to the public. You can visit the Coston Cabin one of Boise's oldest buildings. Take a look inside Boise's only remaining adobe home, built by Boise Mayor Thomas E. Logan, when he served four terms in the 1870s.

There will be plenty of food for hungry visitors including kettle corn, hot dogs, ice cream, crepes and BBQ sandwiches.

Bring your whole family to Museum Comes to Life! Admission is free. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Historical Museum and the Idaho State Historical Society.
