The Idaho State Historical Society Public Archives and Research Library holds a large collection of material relating to the history of Idaho and the Pacific Northwest. The collection is extremely varied in subject, geographic area, and time period. It includes both historical and genealogical information and covers a wide variety of mediums, including manuscripts, public archives, books, periodicals, oral history interviews, motion picture films and videos, microfilm, and maps. In addition, the Library and Archives collection supports the Historical Society's other collections as a repository of general reference materials.
For historical or genealogical reference queries, read this.
