On Monday, June 28, 1999, four people load their gear for an exploration of Idaho's section of the Oregon Trail. The purpose is education, but we all hope fun is in store as well! The project is the brainchild of Kris Major, education specialist for the Idaho State Historical Society. Larry Jones, state historian, is Mr. Oregon Trail; he has served as the site advisor. Steve Tyree is an administrator for the Boise Independent School District who will help the Historical Society reach classroom educators with this material. Audra Sims (that's me) is an interpretive specialist new to the Society who hopes to bring an eye for environmental education to the trip. Let's begin.
